Shirts that require logo embroidery or number patches may take 1-2 weeks to process and so delivery may be slower than normal.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES PROCEDURE

We hope you’re happy with your purchase, however occasionally you may need to return an item. We would also strongly advise that items are returned via trackable mail, such as Royal Mail, Tracked and Signed For, as we can’t accept responsibility for items until they are delivered back to us.

The item(s) should be returned unworn and unused in perfect condition, with tags still attached. Rugby Shirts should be returned in the cotton Black&Blue1871 bag. Returns that are damaged, soiled or returned without their original labels may not be accepted and may be sent back to you.

Our Returns policy varies depending on the type of products ordered. See below for more information on each type of order and their return eligibility. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Please read this information carefully to avoid disappointment. 

BESPOKE ORDER – goods that have been made to order and are not available from our Stock Range that has been custom embroidered or had number patches added. These bespoke goods are non-returnable and cannot be refunded or exchanged.

PERSONALISED/CUSTOMISED ORDER – Stock items which have been personalised with a logo, name and/or number. These garments are non-returnable and cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Exception: We will only accept returns for Bespoke and Personalised/Customised orders in the event of a manufacturing fault. Where the fault is evident on delivery, for example, a name has been spelt incorrectly, this must be reported immediately and the faulty item returned within 14 days of delivery, in their original condition, with all tags, bags and labels attached. Black&Blue1871 reserve the right to reject your claim if you report or return your goods after the 14th day of delivery.

Please clearly state on the returns form the reason for the return and whether you require a refund or exchange. We are only able to exchange items for the same product.

Some goods are non-returnable for hygiene reasons. Please note that this does not affect your statutory rights.

If a full refund is required then the entire order needs to be returned back to us within fourteen (14) working days. However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. If a refund is payable to you we will process the refund as soon as possible.

Customers will have 14 days from the date received to send an item back to us for a refund to be issued. There will be an additional 14 days, totalling 28, to send an item back to for an exchange on the same product code in different colour or size. This return policy is specific to online purchases only.

Items such as underwear and socks cannot be returned for hygiene reason. In the event that underwear and/or socks are received these will be returned to the address listed on the order and postage will need to be paid by the customer.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item, and notify you of the issue of your refund. The credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

EMBROIDERED LOGO – CIRCULAR MARK

Sometimes a faint mark may be visible around the embroidered logo. The mark is normal and it will disappear with the first wash.

When the shirt is embroidered a hoop is used to keep the shirt in position on the embroidery machine. This hoop needs to be clamped tightly so that the shirt does not move while the embroidery is done and can leave a slight indentation mark on the shirt afterwards.

BESPOKE NUMBER PATCHES

Our number patches are individually embroidered on to the shirts, so to ensure they are stable during the process to keep puckering or stretching from occurring we have to use a backing fabric. This backing fabric is trimmed but left covering the patch (on the inside of the garment). As the backing fabric degrades in the washing machine we recommend that you let the backing degrade with washing. Do not rip it or cut it out as this can cause damage to the stitching.
