The Nomads were founded in 1868 and originated as the old boy’s side of Marlborough College.
Their first game was a loss away at Richmond. As the club grew they played against most of the London teams and recorded a great victory over Blackheath, the best side at the time in 1882.
The Nomads produced eight England internationals and one Scottish during their formation.
The Nomads disbanded in 1911 with most of the players joining Rosslyn Park.
